Delete your account
Last updated 1 October 2026
This page is for SlabShield Vault, published by Luke Bailey, trading as SlabShield. It explains how to have your Vault account and the collection in it deleted, what is removed, and the one thing that has to be kept.
How to request deletion
Two steps, and the second one is us.
- Email support@slabshield.co.uk from the email address your Vault account uses, with the subject Delete my SlabShield Vault account. Sending it from the account address is how we know the request is yours — we cannot delete an account on the word of a different address.
- We reply to confirm, delete the account, and email you when it is done. This takes up to 30 days and is usually much faster. You do not need to be a paying member, and there is nothing to pay.
Signed in, you can delete the account yourself from Vault settings — in the app or in a browser — and it happens immediately, with no email and no wait.
What is deleted
Deleting your account removes all of it:
- Your profile — username, display name, bio, avatar, banner and social links
- Your collection — every card and sealed item, their values, photographs and value history
- Your collections, wishlists, likes, follows and badges
- Messages, trade offers and trade history
- Scan and pre-grade history, and the photographs you uploaded for them
- Notifications, alerts and any push subscription for this device
- Your referral code, and the link between you and anyone who used it
Deletion is permanent. There is no restore afterwards, so export anything you want to keep first — Vault Pro includes a collection export, and we will provide one on request if you are on the free tier.
What has to be kept, and for how long
Payment records, if you ever paid for Vault Pro. UK tax law requires invoices and payment records to be kept for six years from the end of the accounting period they fall in. These are held by us and by Stripe, who take the payments, and are the amount, the date and the reference — not your collection.
Server logs are kept briefly for debugging and security and are then overwritten. They can contain an IP address but are not linked to your Vault once the account is gone.
Nothing else is kept. Backups containing your data roll off within 30 days of deletion.
Deleting some of your data without closing your account
You do not have to choose all or nothing. Cards, sealed items, photographs, collections, wishlists and messages can each be deleted from inside the Vault while your account stays open, and you can ask us to remove anything else by email.
Your other rights
You can also ask for a copy of your data, correct it, restrict or object to how we use it, or ask for it in a portable format. The privacy policy covers all of it. If you are unhappy with how we have handled a request you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
